Naturopathic Medicine

Naturopathic medicine is the holistic approach to healthcare that treats physical and mental health by integrating evidence based Eastern & Western medicine. It incorporates diet, lifestyle, medical and social factors to provide individualized care for patients.

Dr. Yehia Al-Hashmi, ND helps patients feel better now, naturally, while preventing health issues down the road. He combines a science-based approach with a genuine passion for holistic care, bringing careful attention to detail in every step of the process. He strives to offer a warm bedside manner and create a supportive environment where each patient feels heard, respected, and truly cared for.

He earned his Honours Bachelor of Science from York University, majoring in biochemistry and gene editing research, followed by his Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM).

His approach circles around what he calls the cycle of wellness—gut health, sleep, hormones, and stress. These systems are deeply connected and often play a key role in many health concerns. Through detailed bloodwork, functional testing, and natural therapies, Dr. Al-Hashmi creates personalized, natural, evidence-informed care plans to address each patient’s unique condition and health goals, no matter what brings them into the clinic.

Outside the clinic, he enjoys playing sports, going on nature walks, organizing community events, and trying new activities. If you see him out in the wild, don’t hesitate to say hi, he’s always up for a good chat and he won’t judge your second or third coffee of the day (he gets it).
